Keeping SHR Safe
Safety is a shared responsibility within The Springs.
The Access Team at a Glance
The Member Services - Access Team takes actions necessary to maintain control over access to our community and its facilities to keep it safe for all HOA Members.
SHR HOA Members have full responsibility for their own properties and share responsibility for SHR community access.
Access Coverage

The speed limit on all roads in The Springs is 25 mpg.
SHR roads and parking lots are designated as Public Vehicular Access areas as defined by North Carolina General Statute 20-4.01. Please yield to pedestrians and cyclists at all times.
Front Gate Access
The Springs at High Rock maintains several secure options to access the community, all managed by the Access Team. The Springs HOA Board and the Access Team work diligently to ensure that HOA Members feel safe in our gated community. The SHR front gate is every SHR HOA Member's front door. Video surveillance is in place for monitoring purposes in the event an incident does occur.
All SHR HOA Members have a right to access their SHR property 24/7/365; SHR HOA Members may choose one or more of the access options. Each access option has pros and cons; therefore, select the options that work best.
REALTORS - visit the Selling Property page for specific information about gaining access to show properties.
Directory Code
Each property may receive a 3-digit directory code. This code may be shared with family, friends, guests, service personnel, etc. Visitors need only enter the code into the keypad to call you. As a SHR HOA Member, if you don't know your code, contact Member Services-Access.
See something suspicious.
Call the sheriff.
SHR HOA Members have responsibilities to each other to keep a mindful watch: if you see something suspicious, don't hesitate and call the Sheriff’s Department at 336-242-2105 or 911.
Tailgating is discouraged. Just don't do it.
Everyone with authorized access should be be diligent in disallowing tailgating through the front gate, unless the vehicle driver is recognizable or a SHR decal is visible. Each SHR HOA Member has a vested interest in maintaining the safety, security, and privacy of our community. Your support and cooperation are not only needed, but greatly appreciated!
Request a Limited Access Code
The Limited Access Code operates the gate during normal business hours: Monday - Saturday 7am - 7PM for contractors and vendors performing services for you. Your request is reviewed and if additional information is needed, you will be contacted.
These codes may be distributed at the discretion of the HOA Board and the Member Services - Access Team for specialized use by service personnel, including package delivery services (Amazon, FedEx, etc.)
The code changes JAN 1, APR 1, JUL 1 and OCT 1 and authorized users are notified via email quarterly at least five days in advance. Do NOT use this code for new construction crews.
How to use the code: Users must press # before the 4-digit code on the front gate keypad.
Special note: New construction/building contractors may not use the generalized Limited Access Code, these contractors receive a separate code specific to them.
Complete this form and your request will be processed within four business days. This access is managed by volunteers on the Member Services - Access Team.
For questions and additional details contact Member Services.
